Chlorfenapyr is a pyrrole class of chemical pesticide, classified as Toxicity Category II, or moderately toxic.
Chlorfenapyr is intended for ornamental plant use only and designed to control thrips, caterpillars, and mites. Because it has negatively affected the reproduction cycle of birds, it has not been registered for outdoor use even though it was once widely used on cotton. Most applications are within a greenhouse setting where it can be more easily contained.
